Zone: Castrelo and Sisán Village: Cambados
and Ribadumia (without appellation).
Grape: white.
Vineyards: plot Paraje Mina in the zone of Castrelo in Cambados village; plot Inxertal in the zone of Sisán in Ribadumia village. 30 to 90 years old; traditional pergola style.
Exposure: Facing to the west plot Paraje; Southwest plot Inxertal.
Soil: decomposed granitic, sandy soils.
2018
vintage: Winter
begins dry and final cold-rainy, brudbreak late;
Spring continued cold-rainy and just hot, flowering normal; Summer too cool-wet delayed maturation but August
dry-hot +30° precipitating it in 15 days; Harvest started 9/10 and ended 10/6
of 2018.
Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly
transported to the winery in 15 kg
crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure
pressing. Fermented with its own yeasts
,without static settling, at a
controlled temperature and without the use of any additional product apart from
sulphur in two amphora (Padilla Pottery) of 200 and 250
liters . Batonage weekly for 3 months
and aging on its lees for 9 months until bottling. Bottling without tartaric
stabilization by cold, without clarification, filtered and with modest levels of SO2.
Bottled: June
17,2019 (fruit day). Aging in bottle for 5
months.
